The Bureau specializes in premium storage, packaging and branding products for dispensaries and sophisticated consumers. Originally launched as RODAWG in 2012, the company caught the industry’s attention with its iconic metal case and pre-rolled cones, but the founders changed the name to Bureau as a more elegant reference to storage products. While everything is designed in-house, the company works with suppliers in Europe, Asia and Canada to produce its top-shelf product lines. One of our favorite Bureau products, as seen here in The Smoking Pot, is The Highline herb container.
STYLE & DESIGN
Josh Gordon started the Bureau while earning his MBA in NYC, and Gotham certainly influences the style and design of the products. For example, The Bedford is a glass and birch-wood container that references the heart of Williamsburg, while the Five Points smoke shells pay homage to the infamous section of 19th-century downtown Manhattan depicted in the film Gangs of New York. The Highline, meanwhile, takes its name from the former elevated railway that the city transformed into the 1.5-mile Highline park that stretches from Gansevoort Street to West 34th Street on the westside. Like the park, The Highline container features a sleek design and a beautiful view of nature’s finest greenery.
FORM & FUNCTION
FRESH AND NATURAL
The Highline preserves cannabis and other fine herbs with an all-natural birch wood lid that forms an airtight seal with the thick frosted glass base. While The Rivington includes a second chamber designed to store concentrates and dabs, the 3.9-inch-tall Highline distinguishes itself from other Bureau products by claiming the largest capacity size (up to 14 grams), which is ideal for dispensaries and high-volume consumers. In fact, one of Bureau’s retailers is the California-based Harborside Health Center, which is considered the largest dispensary in the country.
00. The Bureau provides customer support via email and a toll-free phone line at (800) 226-1050.
As cannabis quality and culture enter an exciting new stage, it is time to ditch the old plastic baggies and pop-top plastic containers. Bureau products like The Highline provide optimal freshness in stylish glass storage containers, and the NYC reference points help consumers find products that reflect their style, neighborhood and urban experiences.
