Even though they're almost extinct, everyone loves Polaroids, also known as an instant photo that resembles an original Polaroid. Actually, people probably love them even more because they're almost extinct. But thanks to Fujifilm and their spinoff line Instax, they're becoming more accessible all over again. And not just because you can buy Instax cameras at Urban Outfitters.
Enter the Instax Share SP-3 Printer, the first "instant printer" to make square photographs. This compact little creation is designed to go anywhere—it's wireless, of course—and work with your smartphone, as well as Facebook and Instagram (all you need to do is download an app). The latest model will print square photographs, coming in at 2.4 inches wide with impressive 800 x 800 resolution, in 10 seconds flat. There’s a collage option, and you can add text to your photos, too. If you don’t want to use the printer with your phone, just pick up any camera out of Fujifilm’s X-series line. At best, this printer is a way to make memories you can hold. At worst, it serves as an activity when the party hits a lull.
You can now pre-order the Instax Share SP-3 Printer in white for $199 from Unique Photo. It will be available at Fujifilm for $160 in both black and white as of early November. Pick up the film separately for $14 for a pack of 10.
