Hairstylist Benjamin Mohapi is smart. With pastel hair experiencing another surge right now, ensuring it’s going to stay strong as a summer ’17 trend, he’s capitalizing on the desire for a dreamy, unicorn-worthy mane—and the fact that desire is often fleeting. This new line of Moody Girls hair color is ridiculously easy and totally temporary. It’s also only for people with light-colored hair, so rich chocolate brunettes, you’re out of luck.
All you need to do is pick your hue, like baby blue Cry Baby, lavender-pink Lovey Dovey or coral Peachy Keen, then shampoo your hair, towel-dry until it’s not dripping all over the place, and then rub the cream in until it evenly covers your strands from roots to ends. Leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing, or if you want longer-lasting, higher-intensity color, keep it on for 30. Your whimsical new look will last for three-to-six washes, which is probably right when you’ll get tired of it and be ready to move on to the next new thing.
Available at Moody Girls for $28 or you can pick up the whole five-piece collection for $128.
