If you didn’t already know, Drake has his own clothing brand. Heavy on sweats, flannels and this season, bright camouflage print, it makes you wonder: Where are the luxe chunky turtlenecks in all of this? But that’s all right. Champagne Papi is thinking bigger and broader than cozy knits.
Toronto-based October’s Very Own has a brand-new flagship store in New York City, at the prime NoHo location of 54 Bond Street. Their ongoing collaboration with the winter-ready high-end outdoor label Canada Goose continues (previous collections have seen a windbreaker shell jacket and baseball caps) with a special-edition release of the Chilliwack bomber.
It’s just cropped and cozy enough to enhance rather than ruin your outfit, unlike most winter coats. The question: Is dropping over a thousand on a Drake-approved coat worth the feeling of being at least a little excited about dropping temperatures? Look for two contrasting color combinations: desert khaki, which is a bleached-out tan, and jacquard black (also known as black). Both feature bright orange lining and a fur-trimmed hood for a burst of functional decadence, which is always a winning combination.
Available for $1,195 at October’s Very Own. You can also snap up a Cordura-fabric trucker hat for $125.
