"People have always been interested in food and drugs, but no one has ever really put them together in the way that we're doing it," says Noah Tucker, one-half of the chef duo behind the upcoming PRØHBTD series High Cuisine. "The show puts a press on what is taboo and what is the line between what is comfortable, like food, and what maybe isn't comfortable, like the drugs different cultures experiment with."
The NYC native and his London-born partner Tony Joseph are based in Amsterdam, where they introduced High Cuisine dinners made with a wide range of organic mind-altering substances, including cannabis and psychedelics. The new series will take the chefs around the globe to the places where these substances originate and use them to craft dishes that represent the highest level of authentic local cuisine.
High Cuisine is set to premiere in 2019.
