The Skateroom, a Belgium-based organization using art to drive social change, partnered with veteran artist-activist Jenny Holzer on new politically charged boards with the word “IMPEACH” carved out on the top of the decks. Promoting the theme “Make America Righteous Again,” the decks are available in two limited-edition styles: 500 seven-ply Canadian maple wood decks that retail for $350 and 25 luxurious marble decks that retail for $10,000.
Both styles are signed and numbered on certificate by The Skateroom and measure 31″ wide x 81″ long. The artist’s proceeds from the sales will go to the U.S. non-profit groups Change the Ref and Vote.org, while Skateroom will donate a portion of the proceeds to social skateboarding projects dedicated to empowering at-risk youth.
Skateroom and Holzer previously collaborated on aluminum skateboards in 2018 that raised $23,100 for the NYC AIDS Memorial.
