Robert F. Kennedy Throws Shade at Prohibition

For one week in February 1968, Harry Belafonte hosted The Tonight Show and interviewed guests like Martin Luther King, Jr., Wilt Chamberlain and Sidney Poitier. The episodes were notable for featuring mostly African-American guests, but Robert F. Kennedy made one of the most memorable appearance. During the interview, the senator and presidential candidate calls out cannabis prohibition, saying that cigarettes are much larger threat. Four months later, after winning the Democratic Primary in California, Kennedy was assassinated.
