Star Wars Meets the Force of Pop Art

By David Jenison

The Star Wars franchise is a pop culture phenomenon, so pop artists like Ron English, Frank Kozik and Ryan Callanan (RYCA) naturally put their imprints on the galactic imagery. And judging by their choice of characters, it is obviously that pop artists have a thing for the dark side. As presented in the slider from left to right, the artists are as follows: RYCA, Shag, Jeff Bennett, Ron English, RYCA, Frank Kozik, The Vader Project, Olly Moss, RYCA, Joshua Budich, Bennett, Kozik, ACME Archives, English and RYCA. The artists behind the final five images are unidentified.
