Since its launch in 2013, the pop-up mystery dining experience Forbidden Taste has thrown dinners in places like a skatepark, furniture store, the stage of a theater and an electrical substation. This is just the tip of the iceberg for Ivona Hrnčiarová, Tino Hrnčiar and head chef Petr Heneš, founders of the rotating Prague-based experiment that’s also held meals in Belgium and Slovakia.
The schtick is that participants aren’t given any information about the meal save for who will be cooking it until the day of the event, when they’re texted directions and sent on a scavenger hunt for the dinner’s location. This short video shows how the trio expanded into holding private events and experimenting with food delivery methods like syringe drinks and glove-clad hand plates.
